Harmon Killebrew (June 29, 1936 - May 17, 2011)
Baseball lost a true legend today. An inspiration and a role model to all of those who played the game. The Hall of Famer is arguably the best Twins player to ever play the game. He will be missed.
During a 22-year baseball career in which he played for the Washington Senators, Minnesota Twins, and Kansas City Royals, he was second only to Babe Ruth in American League (AL) home runs and retired as the AL career leader in home runs by a right-handed batter. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1984.
RIP, Killer.
It is a very sad day in the baseball world. Such a great player and ambassador to the sport. RIP Killebrew
The Bruins and Sox better brighten my mood by kicking ass tonight!

5/14/11: Josh Beckett holds the Yankees scoreless over six stellar innings, scattering four hits and recording nine strikeouts.

probably the most famous sports picture ever taken
I think I’ve reblogged this multiple times. But it needs to be reblogged some more.

Speechless. The Boston Red Sox are the most amazing men on the face of the Earth, and I will testify to that in open court. <3
